Meisterwind passed away in June, 2011. He will live forever in our hearts and his sons and daughters will carry on his legacy.

MEISTERWIND WON NUMEROUS AWARDS BOTH REGIONALLY AND NATIONALLY, INCLUDING THE AMERICAN TRAKEHNER ASSOCIATION PRIX ST. GEORGES HORSE OF THE YEAR, 1999, AND INTERMEDIARE 1 HORSE OF THE YEAR IN 2004.

ADDITIONALLY, CRAIG HECKERT, RIDING MEISTERWIND, EARNED ALL THE SCORES FOR THE UNITED STATES DRESSAGE FEDERATION BRONZE AND SILVER, AND GOLD MEDALS!

MEISTERWIND ALSO EARNED THE PRIX ST. GEORGES AND INTERMEDIARE 1 PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATE FROM THE USDF AS WELL.

Meisterwind's sire, "DONAUWIND", is one of the most influential sires in modern Sport Horse breeding. "DONAUWIND" is the sire of numerous champions including "ABDULLAH", Olympic, World Champion and World Cup Gold Medalist. Meisterwinds dam, "MAGISSA", is also the dam of the approved Hannoverian Stallion "DANTE" and champion Hanoverian mare "DIVINA". "MAGISSA" is by "MAHAGONI" who is the sire of "PERON", Grand Prix Dressage Champion and Olympic Bronze! "MAGISSA'S" dam is a daughter of "HABICHT" one of the most sought after bloodlines in Germany and the sire of "WINDFALL" and "SIXTUS"

Meisterwind was a leading sire of over 50% GOLD MEDAL PREMIUM foals, many who have gone on to successful careers in Dressage, Hunters, Jumpers and Eventing. The Meisterwind offspring are sound, sane and RIDEABLE for all levels of riders. He has been so impressive as a sire that in 2002 we were asked if we would consider leasing Meisterwind to stand at stud in GERMANY. What a compliment to Meisterwind! We could not bear to part with him and made the decision to keep him in the US.
