The horses listed below are sired by MEISTERWIND  or LION KING out of very good quality, well bred mares. Our mares are Warmblood, Anglo-Arab and Purebred Arabian. Most of these youngsters  are Branded and have German passports (papers) with the Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar (Zwebrücken) Verband. These young horses are healthy, sound, and have received excellent care and nutrition from birth. They are raised outside and are tough and athletic. They are not "hot house flowers"! They are brought into the barn, handled and worked with and then returned to their group pasture. They are in training with GRAND PRIX rider and  USDF BRONZE, SILVER AND GOLD MEDALIST,  CRAIG HECKERT.

Meisterwind produces very good minded, trainable youngsters and this group of prospects are no exception. They have excellent and correct movement and should excel in any discipline. They are nice horses to train being smart and cooperative. Excellent work ethic is natural with the Meisterwind offspring. They are slow to mature and it seems like they take forever to grow up which requires patience, but they are well worth the wait! AND, they also stay sound!

AT OUR RPSI KEURING EACH YEAR, THE JUDGES COMMENT ON HOW MEISTERWIND "STAMPS" HIS OFFSPRING WITH "WONDERFUL UPHILL MOVEMENT, CORRECT LEGS AND FEET, AND ALWAYS, A GOOD DISPOSITION".

LION KING is one of the best bred and most promising young stallions available today.  He comes from a family of "rideability" and his first foals have the same incredible people friendly attitude! They are under saddle now and are wonderful! Lion King earned his breeding Approval on performance at FEI Level.

We have been updating the videos of the youngsters we have for sale. You can see them at: http://www.youtube.com/user/RivervaleFarm  Please keep in mind that these videos were done in February and these horses live outside. We are in the midst of one of our coldest winters on record so everyone has a thick winter coat. The horses are also presented naturally, not kept stalled for days to have them revved up for videos or spooked with bags and such to "enhance" their movement.

We are always open to negotiation and offers, especially to show homes. These are super nice youngsters, sired by stallions with impressive show records and in training with a young horse specialist, who is also an accomplished competitor.  Our horses have very good reputations for being uncomplicated to ride and easy to get along with.

Don't think that because our prices are reasonable, there is something "wrong" with our horses. The truth is that this is a horse business, supported by the horses. Which of course means sales.

Give a Rivervale Farm horse a try. You won't be sorry!!

RF Maestro

2008 Black Zweibrucken gelding by Meisterwind, out of the Arabian mare, Sarah Song. This cross has been one of our favorites. We have two full sisters of Maestro in our broodmare band. One who produced a high scoring RPSI colt.

Maestro is a very promising gelding. He has breathtaking movement and a people loving disposition. We took him away from his pasture buddies, took him to the indoor and introduced him to the jump chute. He was as calm as could be and thought jumping was a fun game. All while a winter storm was raging outside.

RF Maravedi

4/12/2003 metallic bay, Zweibrucken (Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar) gelding.  By Meisterwind, out of St. Pr. Chipper Bezt x. This guy is the most unusual color. He has a metallic sheen that gives his coat a "glow".

Marvi is an easy horse to ride on the flat or over fences. He rides nicely inside or out on the trails. He has a very nice jump, flying changes and wonderfully correct, rhythmic gaits.  He enjoys his work and is a bold jumper, cross country or in the arena.  His flatwork is excellent as well.

Marvi will gallop cross country or trail ride on a long rein, whatever his rider chooses. He has been to a couple of shows and has been wonderful. He is very good standing tied, being ridden in a large group of horses and jumping courses. He scored 66% at a recent show, Training Level, Test 3. He loads, hauls, clips and is an all around "good guy".

Marvi loves to work and shows a ton of potential to be successful in whatever discipline you choose. Marvi is a "beefy" 15.2 making him perfect for the smaller rider or any rider who doesn't want a huge horse. The rider in these photos is 5'11" showing that Marvi is not a small horse. Marvi has very good legs and feet. He has never taken a lame step or been sick. He is an incredibly kind, talented and beautiful horse.

SOLD

See Marvi's video, updated August, 2009, here:

Marvi was shown at the Central States Fair Hunter / Jumper Show on Aug. 29. He had super nice rounds earning a 4th in the Regular Hunter 2'6" to 3' and winning the Hunter Stake, 3' to 3'6".

Marker was shown at the Central States Fair Hunter / Jumper Show on August 29 where he showed his willingness and ability, winning the Open Jumping!

RF MARK THE SPOT

2003 Bay Tobiano Gelding. By Meisterwind, out of Sage's Painted Lady APHA.  This is a very nice gelding for someone looking for "color".  His mother is a Homozygous Tobiano Paint/Pinto mare who has points in Open, Novice and Amateur English Pleasure. She is the only non-warmblood mare in our breeding program and she is here because she is so exceptional.  This gelding is incredible. He looks and moves like a Warmblood.  Marker has everything it takes to be competitive in whatever discipline you choose. Plus he has a sweet, cooperative disposition.  He can be registered Pinto. Marker is 15.2, the perfect size for the person who doesn't want a giant. The rider in these photos is 5'11".

Marker is great under saddle, easy and comfortable to ride. He is good at shows and has jumped nicely around courses up to 3'6". Marker enjoys jumping and has nice enough movement to be competitive in the Dressage arena. Marker was used as a "demo" horse at an Expo this Spring and jumped 4' in front of a noisy, rowdy crowd. He was solid and sane throughout.

He goes nicely in the arena and out on the trails. He rides great in a plain snaffle. He is good galloping cross country and jumps into and out of water and over ditches. He has a very nice jump and easy flying changes. He has been to a couple of shows and has been very well behaved, standing tied, being ridden in a large group of horses and jumping courses.  He scored 66% in his first dressage test, Training Level, Test 1. He loads, hauls, clips and shoes. Because of his quiet disposition, Marker would make a wonderful partner for a child or a timid rider.
