2019 was a good year in most ways. In the fall of 2018, Abby Sharp and Lauren Hill joined Rivervale Farm, each purchasing a young horse and assisting with their horse's training over winter. The horses and the girls were super and by Spring were ready to compete. The weather nixed plans for earlier Events but we were able to attend the JM Durr clinic in June. The horses were super and were ready to compete. Craig, Abby and Lauren all attended the Powder Basin Horse Trials in July. The girls both completed Beginner Novice with RF Ace High and Lauren in 5th place! Craig moved his RF Arkenstone up to Training Level. Sadly Craig jumped the wrong fence resulting in a "technical elimination" but Archie was super. Then in early August Craig took a tumble off a youngster and broke his hip. All three horses were entered at the Event at Archer in Cheyenne but Archie was scratched leaving the girls to go on their own. They made us proud, with Lauren and RF Ace High, 5th in the BN Championship and Abby and RF Almandine 7th in the Open BN. Craig has recovered well after surgery to fix his hip.

Dirk and Kristine Sommers - Holloween fun!

Dirk, the headless horseman, is riding RF Let's Dance, Lion King X Willowbez X Bezalla ox

Kristine, the shark is riding, RF LePhantom, Lion King X Fancy That PCH X For Paragon.

Both horses are also getting good ribbons in the Hunters and Dirk and "Max" are starting in the Jumpers.
